In a world where Dr. Finitevus had remained open and perceived as non-threatening to the community with the aid of his partner and assistant Egon, the tension instead rested on the growing political concerns with the Acorn Kingdom and the Eggman Empire, and for the Echidnas, where their god the Enerjak had disappeared to. For Egon, however, attentions were directed to the slow stagnancy of his relationship with his partner, and the coldness with which his lover treated him, which culminated in a harsh, unreasonable break-up, and his accidental suicide. The fall of Albion and the takeover by King Needlemouse only spurred him into action for a different cause, a two-pronged intent which would both save and invalidate the people he championed...

He has since moved to an elegant black outfit with red trim, and black boots, which he somehow maintains in his ghostly form.
