Edmund was the twin brother of Dimitri, and worked with him as a scientific dynamo in Floating Island's Age of Progress. One of his greatest collaborative works was on the mysterious power locked inside the island's unique crystal growths. While these crystals had a known side-effect of making citizens ill, he and his heirs actually displayed an attuning to them, and his descendants formed a special council to protect the power of the crystals.
